Mike had been a rock n roll club DJ since leaving school, in and around Orpington in Kent, but first got into radio broadcasting at the end of his army career, working for BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting), where his rock n roll show was beamed worldwide, and on return to the UK, worked for a variety of stations as well as a brief stint for the BBC.
Mike is also a published author, musician and singer, having played in Flashback, The Shotrods, The Lynchburg Lockout and is currently with Midnight Shift.
 Mike specialises in artwork for Rock n Roll including posters and band’s Album covers, designs and prints T shirts, plus sells retro 50’s clothing through his company, WKM Leisurewear.
